I have had the Gock 21-C ]compensated:ported barrel and slide[ for eight or nine years. Never had any failures of any kind. My Gold Cup National Match had feed problems particularly with Winchester Silver Tip 185gn. Had the Colt customized and spent over $300 and it still did not feed the Silver Tips. The Colt ran Fed and Remington HP fine and any hardball. But once you have failure on any weapon your confidence in that weapon is diminished. RULE: never carry a firearm in which you lack confidence. WHY: the question,Will it fire? eats up your reaction time and may cost you your life. SO: I bought a gunfighter''s gun the Glock which eats anything and is accurate. For CC the Glock should should be carried with a round in the chamber. The ported barrel works to keep the muzzle down. Core Bond +P has minimum flash at night. Since this is NOT a target gun, the trigger pull is double action with 7-8 lbs. The grip is not for smaller hands, so hold the gun before you buy. For CC get an inside the waistband holster.Practice, practice, practice on your draw, sight aquisition] eyes open-eyes closed[ trigger pull, mag change, and then lots of live fire next to someone else who is blazing away. The more noise and distraction and stress the better.
