Ten year old G-30

I have had my G-30 for about ten years and the only time it failed to fire was when it accumulated a few years of grunge in the fireing pin area from me not cleaning properly and over lubing. Excellant accuracy and is sheer pleasure to shoot hundreds of rounds in a single afternoon.

I just got my brand new Glock 30SF. We took it out yesterday, and this gun is better than I had imagined. Very controllable recoil, even for my sister in law, very accurate. Rapid firing the weapon, as well as rapid 2 to the chest and one to the head, still delivers good accuracy. The 36 handle is too thin for my to control under most conditions. I wouldn't hesitate to suggest this pistol to anyone.

Glock G30SF

This is my 4th Glock and I love the 30SF. Full power in a concealable package.
I did my homework for two months (for a specific-size carry gun) before I bought it and Glock G-30SF had the best reports and reviews hands down.
Sure you can get a bit cheaper brand, but if you are using this for concealed carry, why compromise just to save a hundred or two for a gun that will last a lifetime and you bet your life on?.

First, the "SF" in Glock 30SF stands for short frame. I bought this weapon for its concealabilty, but I enjoy the smoothness of my Glock 23 much better.

bought it and love it.originally used mdl 30 as back up weapon, now it is the 30sf. 11 shots of .45acp. the recoil is straight forward and not abusive with police ammo. I also use as off-duty weapon extremely concealable with any of my holsters. If anyone is looking for a back-up or ccw weapon this is my only choice

WEll, IT give me great pleasure to put my feeling in print,
I have a few Glock's inc a 21sf, well the 30sf is just the perfect dress up weapon or off duty, it has everything you could want, size and power, best combo ever. Eats all ammo and can carry 21sf mags that fit that's 37 rds. Not much more could be asked as a personal or back up. I would suggest a very strong look at this weapon.

Man this is a nice little big bore. Very mild kick less than a 1911 or p220. Jump up is also very mild. It's really amazing how well this pistol shoots. It's small but darn it shoots like a full size combat 45. It's a packable powerhouse. If the gun fits your hand buy it!

I just bought my Glock30sf about two weeks ago. I also own the Glock21 I have to say I love them both! The Glock30sf is just what I wanted for CCW carry. My model 21 was a bit to big for that and I was looking for the same fire power. Great gun accurate out of the box. Can't ask for a more realible CCW gun!

Had a model 23 which handled well and easily concealable, however, wanted something with more stopping power and still easily concealable like the model 23 (.40 caliber). Found the best of both worlds with the 30SF.

I bought this gun in January. You can see my earlier review dated CL 1/22/10. I''m doing this review for added info due to a range visit. I must say that this gun is VERY accurate from self defense range ]7-10 yards[. I''m talkig about 3 in. groups maximum. I find the recoil to be very manageable. The felt recoil goes straight back. Muzzle rise is minimal. So, double taps and rapid fire are a lot easier when compared to a .40SW. It''s fun to shoot, plain and simple.

What can you say about the Glock 30 that hasn''t all ready been said. Now made better with the addition of the SF version. Price and historic reliability make this a must for your first .45 purchase as a concealed weapon. You can''t go wrong.

This is my first CCW gun so my impressions my not mean a lot to some, but so far I am very pleased with the fit and performance of this pistol. Also, this is my first Glock, and I must agree with the opinions I have read. This is a gun I will be carrying without worrying if it will perform when needed or not. I have complete confidence that this gun will do it''s job without a hitch. A great gun at a great price.

I purchased this firearm primarily for home defense. However, I could use it easily for concealed carry. I love this gun. It is a great looking gun. I have large hands, but it still feels great in my hands. I can''t wait to take it to the range. I''m planning planning on getting the mag extension, take down lever extension, and slide release extension to make it more easy for me to handle and use.

Was concerned about the accuracy of th weapon fresh out of the box, but had no problem placing the round where the sights said it would impact. The slide release requires two-hands to operate, but expect it''s due to the weapon being new. Got more of the same when I tried to put it back together after cleaning. Again, the spring was very taut and took some effort to get it to seat properly. Other than that, I''m completely satisfied with it.

I really like the shorter frame for my small hands, but don't like the thickness of the slide for CCW. Thought about going to a G36 but I really like to have the 10+1rds of the G30SF. Just can't make up my mind!

Perfect fit for the medium sized hand. It is very accurate, lightweight, and easy to field strip and clean. This is the perfect CCW with a ten round magazine. It is a bit smaller than a GLOCK 19, but a tad bit heavier when fully loaded. Recoil is not an issue. Get this pistol before the price goes up.
